About the Journal

Horizonte Científico Educativo International Journal (HCEIJ) is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to disseminating original research articles, reviews, case studies, and high-quality scholarly contributions in the field of education. Founded in September 2025 and edited by Asesores Educativos S.A.S., the journal is published biannually and has established itself as a rigorous, up-to-date, and relevant venue for the global educational community.

Journal Purpose

HCEIJ’s primary objective is to foster the generation, evaluation, and transfer of scientific knowledge in education that drives pedagogical innovation, strengthens teaching practice, and improves teaching–learning processes in diverse contexts. The journal seeks to position itself as an academic reference that promotes interdisciplinary dialogue, international cooperation, and evidence-based decision-making in response to contemporary educational challenges.

Areas of Interest (non-exhaustive)

  • Pedagogy, didactics, and curriculum: pedagogical models, instructional design, learning assessment, competencies, and educational outcomes.

  • Teacher education and professional development: reflective practice, mentoring, professional identity, well-being, and pedagogical leadership.

  • Inclusive and intercultural education: UDL, attention to diversity, rural and community education, equity, and educational justice.

  • Technologies for learning: educational AI, learning analytics, virtual environments, digital resources, multiliteracies.

  • Education policy and management: governance, quality, accountability, continuous improvement, innovation, and institutional culture.

  • Psychology and social–emotional aspects in education: motivation, self-regulation, classroom climate, coexistence, and digital citizenship.

Manuscript Types Accepted

  • Original research articles (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods).

  • Systematic, scoping, or critical narrative reviews.

  • Case studies and systematizations of pedagogical experiences.

  • Scholarly essays and research notes.

  • Evaluations and analyses of educational resources/technologies (e.g., software, platforms, instruments).

All submissions must be original, not under simultaneous review, and make a substantive contribution to the educational field.

Peer-Review Process

Each submission undergoes an initial assessment by the editorial team (scope, guidelines compliance, and similarity screening). Manuscripts that pass this stage proceed to double-blind peer review, ensuring the scientific, methodological, and editorial quality of accepted texts.

Open Access

HCEIJ adopts an immediate open-access policy. All content is freely available for reading, downloading, and reuse, with no charges for readers or authors (APC = 0), in order to maximize the visibility, circulation, and impact of educational knowledge.

Licensing

Published content is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which permits copying, distribution, and adaptation provided appropriate credit is given to the authors and the source.

International Scope

The journal welcomes contributions from all countries and fosters intercultural, interdisciplinary, and multilingual collaboration. It publishes in Spanish and English.
